Alexanderstone Coach House is a very attractive stone built Coach House to "the big house" built in the 15th century and can be used in conjunction with The Alexanderstone Manor and Alexanderstone East Wing (approximately 100 yards distance) thus sleeping 27 people - so with the three properties this is a wonderful relaxed location, close to Brecon for a family re-union or a meeting up with friends. 

Cottage facilities

Sleeps 7 in 3 bedrooms. There is a new good quality kitchen with a five ring halogen hob, electric double oven, microwave, dishwasher fridge and a freezer.  There are slate floors with a dining table and chairs, a lovely oak Welsh dresser and views over the gardens to the Brecon Beacons beyond.  In the utility room there is a washing machine and a dryer and the central heating boiler. Downstairs cloakroom with handbasin and toilet.

The sitting room has the original cart arches as floor to ceiling windows making this a light, comfortable and warm room to relax with the sofas and chairs gathered around the great open fire set in the stone fireplace. Freeview TV with DVD.

A flight of handmade oak stairs lead up to three bedrooms:

  • Bedrooms 1 is a spacious family bedroom with a brass double bed and a single bed with an en suite shower room handbasin and toilet. 
  • Bedroom 2 has a bedroom with twin beds. 
  • Bedroom 3 with a double bed

    Alexanderstone Coach House sits within a SSSI so there is a wealth of rare wildlife and fauna to be found nearby. In season orchids abound along the grass verges of the lanes; a great spot for wildlife enthusiasts of all ages.

    Host a dinner party to remember

    Why not play Lord of the Manor and host a dinner party during your stay, or invite guests to a cocktail party held in one of the spacious reception rooms. Alexanderstone Coach House has a homemade and Cordon Bleu ready cooked dinner service and a full waitress service can also be arranged. This facility makes Alexanderstone the obvious choice for a family get-together or a special occasion. Alexanderstone Manor and Alexanderstone East Wing can also be booked through Brecon Beacons Holiday Cottages and can sleep 27 guests if required.

    Numerous outdoor activities and places to visit

    Located just 2 miles from Brecon, Alexanderstone Coach House is excellently placed to offer a huge number of outdoor activities all based locally. Walk straight from the house onto the glorious Brecon Beacons. There is also fantastic cycling as the property is on the Taff Trail providing 55 miles of largely traffic-free roads, paths and canal towpaths. Pony trekking, clay pigeon shooting, fishing and more advanced riding can all be arranged locally. For those looking for a quieter stay there are numerous shops in Brecon as well as a cinema and some great pubs and restaurants. Even closer to home, the small hamlet of Groesfford has a small pub just 1.5 miles away.

    Cradoc Golf Club with its 18 holes is only two miles away and there are several excellent pubs and restaurants with the highly recommended and award winning The Felin Fach Griffin just up the road and then there is the extremely friendly and good value local pub called The Three Horse Shoes at Groesfordd just down the lane.
